Doing the Right Thing

I can’t begin to imagine how hard it must be to put so much effort into something you know is disappearing. However, the Zerve team stepped up.  They have consistently been focused on doing the right thing for their clients and employees.  Before we all continue to compare our products, it’s worth taking a minute to acknowledge the Zerve team’s effort throughout these challenging times.  Their dedication, devotion and effort to helping their clients is something both the industry and I will never forget.

The past few days have been tumultuous in the tour and activity industry.  Zerve’s exit has been jarring.  I am proud that FareHarbor has been able to aid Zerve’s clients and hopefully their employees in their transition.  We are also saddened to see the exit of a hard working, noble and client-focused competitor.  We will continue to be open about the details our relationship with Zerve and strive to make the transition as smooth as possible for all clients seeking to continue to excel in their operations without having to worry about what booking platform is best for their business.

In Zerve’s absence, there has been a vacuum of companies claiming to work harder, have access to all sorts of data, and in general over-promising. The major fact that has been ignored throughout this entire process is the fact is that Zerve’s own team has been the hardest working of everyone this weekend, and they have nothing to gain! I think it’s important to state that I have no benefit in singing Zerve’s praises, I am purely writing this out of respect for the Zerve management team and employees.

Over the past 72 hours, I have had several conversations with Scott Newman, one of Zerve’s founders.  Many conversations were held in the middle of the night and I’ve witnessed members of the Zerve team helping their clients through every hour of the day.  Given that they have nothing but goodwill to gain or lose, their efforts can only be considered stupendous.  Zerve has always had excellent service and it’s clear that service will continue to the end.
